I’m Lisa. It’s nice to “meet” you!

Here’s a quick bit about me and my credentials, just in case you are wondering just who the heck I am and why I think I can help you.

I’m a Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certified Nutrition Coach, and have a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a minor in Nutrition. I’ve managed two medically supervised weight control centers and have worked as a personal trainer, nutritionist, and wellness educator. Nutrition and fitness have been my passion for over 20 years, and I love helping people improve their health. I am dedicated to keeping up with the latest research in nutrition science and behavior change psychology.

I combine science and psychology to help people achieve their nutrition-based health goals.

So, if you want to…

My goal is to help you do all of those things – and possibly, more!

I am not the kind of coach who bosses people around and tells them what they can and can’t eat.

I won’t overwhelm you with scientific jargon about macronutrients and calories and complex mathematical equations and all the science-y stuff that most people don’t need to understand in great detail in order to look and feel better (unless you want to geek out with me – then, by all means, let’s get nerdy!).

And, I am not going to subject you to the tortures of a structured meal plan. There will be no strict rules, no punishments, no rigid formulas to follow, no dangerous supplements…and no unbearable deprivation.

Your life is already hectic enough – why would I add to the stress?

Changing habits can be challenging, but the good news is…it doesn’t have to be complicated.

Losing weight and/or improving your health and fitness do not require extreme measures.

What IS required is consistency. Choosing a goal, making it a regular habit, and moving on to the next goal…that is the way to make lasting changes.

And that is what I am here for. I will help you identify the habits you’d like to change, prioritize them, and make the changes happen.

We will move at a pace that fits your lifestyle. Tell me what you want to do, and I will help you do it.

I will handle the complex details so you don’t have to worry about them. My goal is to give you less to worry about so you can focus on each step of the plan we design together, just for you.

Weight loss and developing healthier habits are largely mental endeavors. I’ve studied habit change psychology extensively, and I have lots (and lots!) of tools to help you get through the mental barriers that can sabotage success.

The coaching method I use is based on safe and effective principles that are supported by research and have a proven track record.

Together, we will use those principles to build a healthier lifestyle that works for YOU, based on YOUR needs.

As your personal coach, I will…

  • Keep you motivated
  • Be there to encourage you when you aren’t feeling it and want to give up
  • Actually LISTEN to you
  • Help you troubleshoot and problem-solve when challenges arise
  • Encourage you to develop the healthy self-esteem and habits you need to succeed
  • Provide ongoing attention, support, and added accountability

Even if you have failed at weight loss or improving your eating habits in the past, don’t be discouraged!

You absolutely can succeed – there ARE ways to lose weight and keep it off…without suffering and being miserable and wanting to eat everything that isn’t nailed down.

We will work together to design a program tailored to your specific needs. And, I will provide one-on-one guidance and encouragement throughout your journey.

My monthly rate is $75, which includes:

  • Initial assessment and goal setting
  • Habit change support
  • Weekly assignments (Don’t worry, they aren’t stressful or boring, I promise!)
  • Progress check-ins and assessments (If we aren’t assessing, we are guessing!)
  • Two Skype or Zoom video chats per months (or two phone calls, if you prefer not to use video)
  • Unlimited email support

I do ask you to commit to a full year of coaching, because it usually takes that long to transform habits (yes, you can cancel anytime, but I don’t think you will want to).
