My name is John and I am the principal owner of Nutritional Anarchy. I’m 36 and run the site jointly with my partner, Cynthia. We’ve been doing this for a few years now, but took a break because bringing up our children and working took up so much of our time. But now we are back with a fresh look at what we started way back 10 years ago. A lot has changed. For example, cannabis is legalized in many parts of the US in a way that we never thought possible even five years ago. But that’s not the whole war, and I will talk about the war on kratom, a beneficial natural substance which is under attack from the government, the DEA, and the FDA, mostly in my opinion purely because it’s a threat to the expensive opioid medications produced by big pharmaceutical companies. But Nutritional Anarchy will be much as it was. We will talk about the same topics around sustainability, local farming, and important food. A lot has changed in terms of food as well, with new laws around organic food, GMO labeling, and many of the additives and preservatives. However, that battle is not over, and there’s still plenty to do. Unjust things are happening in our country, and people are basically being poisoned and then becoming a burden on the health service that they can’t even afford to pay the health insurance to get benefit out of. It’s a scandal, and hopefully in the next few years, through social lobbying, we can make a positive change.
